St. Patrick’s Day Parade

At 12:20 pm, the Irish flag is raised in front of the King County Administration Building, followed by trumpeters playing the Irish and US National Anthems.

At 12:30 pm, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal and the Honorary Parade Grand Marshals lead Seattle’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade up 4th Avenue accompanied by the Mayors of Seattle and Galway, Ireland, and other dignitaries.

The Parade travels north on 4th Avenue from Jefferson to the reviewing stand at Westlake Park. From there participants are invited to travel for free via the Monorail to the Seattle Center for closing ceremonies at the Irish estival in the Armory at 2:30 pm.

Over 2,000 parade participants will include pipe bands, school high school bands, drill teams, Irish dancing groups, groups representing Irish and other organizations, etc. Organized groups and groups planning to carry banners should pre-register for the Parade while individuals are encouraged to march in the parade without any pre- registration.
