June is here, see what’s happening

National Safety Month

June is National Safety Month

The National Safety Council declared June as National Safety Month in 1996, to spread awareness of safety hazards and unintentional injuries for industrial workers of the United States.

In Honor of National Safety Month, the SBA works to bring awareness to national and local resources available to small businesses to create and maintain safe work environments. Take a look at some useful resources here:

How to prepare for wildfires

Are you prepared for wildfire season?

Unfortunately, for some areas of our district, summer season can also mean wildfire season. The Northwest Interagency Coordination Center (NWCC) reported more than 1.5 million acres affected by wildfires in Washington and Oregon in 2021, in what was one of the hottest and driest years on record. Prepare your business, your home, and yourself with these tips, and stay up to date with SBA recovery resources if you find yourself in a declared disaster area.
